Apex Habits Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 22, 2026 — Last Updated: February 23, 2026

Apex Habits (“we”, “us”, “our”) is developed by Sliverware. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data Apex Habits collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Our principle:

Your data lives on your device first. Always. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the features you choose to use.

1. Data We Collect

1a. Data Stored Locally on Your Device (All Users)

  • Habit data: Habit names, schedules, completions, streaks, and pause history.
  • Journal entries: Text notes and mood ratings you record after completing habits.
  • Apple HealthKit data: If you grant permission, we read health metrics (steps, workouts, sleep, water intake, etc.) to auto-complete linked habits. HealthKit data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to our servers, sold, or shared with any third party, including advertising platforms.
  • On-device AI analysis: Journal insights and mood correlations are generated using Apple's on-device Foundation Models. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone. No journal content, mood data, or AI-generated insights ever leave your device.

1b. Data Backed Up via iCloud (Solo Tier)

  • If you use iCloud backup, your habit data and journal entries are backed up to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework.
  • This backup is encrypted and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • We do not have access to your iCloud backup data.

1c. Data Synced via Supabase (Connected Tier Only)

If you subscribe to the Connected tier and create an account, the following data is sent to our cloud service (Supabase):

  • Account information: Email address and authentication credentials (managed by Supabase Auth).
  • Partner-visible habit data: Only the habits you explicitly choose to share with accountability partners, including habit name, completion status, and streak data.
  • Partner interactions: Nudge messages and comments exchanged between you and your partners.

What is never synced to our servers:

Journal entries, mood data, personal notes, HealthKit data, and on-device AI insights are never uploaded, even on the Connected tier. Only partner-visible habit projections are synced.

1d. Purchase Information

  • Subscription status (active, expired, trial) is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework.
  • We do not collect or store your payment details. All transactions are handled by Apple.

  • With Apple: iCloud backup data (Solo tier) is governed by Apple's privacy practices.
  • With Supabase: Connected tier account and partner-visible data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. Supabase processes data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
  • With PostHog (App): The iOS App uses PostHog to collect anonymized product analytics such as feature usage, screen views, and app interactions. • With Google (Website): Our website (apexhabits.app) uses Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, referral sources, and general geographic region. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy. Google Analytics does not collect data from the iOS App.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Apple HealthKit Compliance

In compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:

  • HealthKit data is used solely for the purpose of auto-completing habits linked to health metrics.
  • HealthKit data is never stored on external servers.
  • HealthKit data is never sold to or shared with advertising platforms, data brokers, or any third party.
  • HealthKit data is never used for purposes unrelated to health and fitness functionality.
  • Access to HealthKit data requires your explicit permission, which you can revoke at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Solo tier: All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all local data. iCloud backups can be managed in your iCloud settings.
  • Connected tier: You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account). This permanently removes your account information, partner connections, and all synced data from our servers within 30 days.
  • You can export your data at any time from the app's settings.

6. Data Security

  • Local data is stored in an encrypted Core Data store on your device, protected by your device passcode and iOS encryption.
  • iCloud backups are encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
  • Connected tier data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored in Supabase's secured infrastructure with row-level security policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Apex Habits is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
